Events in Manchester From 5th October – 11th October 2026

If you're looking for things to do in Manchester this week, you’ll find a selection of live entertainment experiences. As the evenings get darker, consider the city’s performance spaces, where unique live shows are scheduled, offering different ways to spend your time. These aren't typical nights; expect themed experiences and engaging performances. Try Band on the Wall, known for its diverse programme, or the intimate settings of the smaller bars in the Northern Quarter which often host live acts. Your options for the coming days include evenings dedicated to specific live performances. You can immerse yourself in story-driven sessions that bring a narrative to life, or you might prefer evenings with tribute acts, designed to evoke shared enjoyment. Several venues along Canal Street regularly host tribute nights, reflecting the area’s lively atmosphere. Both options offer an engaging way to experience live presentations. Think about how you want to engage with these offerings. You might seek a performance that invites active, almost participatory, viewership, or you could opt for an evening where familiar melodies and energetic stage presence take centre stage. Freight Island occasionally hosts larger-scale tribute events, offering a different scale of performance. These provide an equally engaging way to experience Manchester's entertainment scene. The city’s range of performance spaces often host curated experiences. Expect settings that facilitate intimate storytelling and lively gatherings.
